Theresa Kis

Theresa Kisanga Bora known as Theresa Kis is an exceptional self-taught Gospel singer, singer-songwriter. Born in Kinshasa (DRC) to Mr. Kisanga Kabongelo Gaston and Mrs. Mariamu Bora Therese, she is the youngest of a sibling of 7 children. It was within her family that Theresa took her first steps in singing and already then pointed to the beginnings of a promising talent.

In 2001 she was forced to leave her native Congo for Belgium. And it was only in 2006 that Theresa joined the mystical choir “les chérubins”, in 2006, where despite her young age, her talent quickly made her stand out among her peers. In 2007, she had the honor of singing for the Belgian royal family at the Cathedral of Saint-Michel and Gudule.

In 2008, she joined her mentor, Gaëtan Kindidi, within the “Gospel Choir of Mons”, where she became familiar with the basics of Gospel music, perfected her skills and had the opportunity to work with some renowned choir conductors, in particular Georges Seba and Didier Likeng…

It was in 2018 that Theresa decided to embark on her own Solo career with the release of her first single Elonga. Thanks to the favorable reception of her public, she now has two other singles, namely Hakuna (in 2019) as well as the latest Na Lingi yo (Love Song) in 2021.

With her music, Theresa wishes to spread a message of Love through the Gospel (gospel). Gradually this young artist climbed onto the podiums of the great talents of the Belgian Gospel. She draws her musical influences from artists such as CeceWinans, Kim Burell, Karen Clark Sheard, Tina campbell, Marvin Winans, Marvin Sapp, Whitney Houston, India Arie or Jonathan McReynolds…
